IES Oklahoma City Section welcomes you to Emergency Lighting Solutions & Applications presented by Leon Hermans, of LVS INC – 1 IES CEU
About this Event:
EMERGENCY LIGHTING SOLUTIONS & APPLICATIONS with Leon Hermans
An in-depth look at emergency lighting solutions from a technical and code perspective. The first half of the presentation will focus on two popular power backup sources: emergency lighting inverters and battery packs. We will discuss applications, best practices related to LED loads, and how these products can meet your clients’ needs. Next, you will learn about emergency lighting controls, starting with the basics and then diving down into more complex topics such as:
- Terminology and Technology – what is the difference between an EPC, GTD, ATS, ALCR, Shunt Relay, and Bypass Relay
- Code changes – how do recent NEC revisions affect when to use UL924 and UL1008 control devices
- Inverters & Controls – how can emergency lighting controls be efficiently integrated with inverters including 0-10V dimming or load shedding
- New Technologies – how are emergency lighting controls being used with emerging control technologies including wireless, DMX, and more
